The Poplar Creek Public Library District is located in Streamwood, Illinois and serves a population of over 66,000 residents from Streamwood, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates and a small portion of Bartlett and Schaumburg. The District also includes the Sonya Crawshaw Branch located in Hanover Park.

The library has a collection of over 250,000 materials, over 300 periodical and newspaper subscriptions and other items such as DVD'S, CD's and books on CD in its collection. The library also provides its member's access to the Internet as well as access to other computer programs. The library also serves as a community resource offering tax assistance, voter registration, to name a few.

The library is a member of Reaching Across Illinois Library Systems (RAILS).
