Welcome to the Poplar Creek Public Library District

The Poplar Creek Public Library has an open Trustee position for appointment. To be eligible for a Trustee position you must live in the library district, be a legal citizen and registered voter. The board meets once a month and Trustees are required to attend. You will be appointed to represent the taxpayers, elected officials as applicable, and the people served by the library district. The Board has full authority over the governance of the library.

The Board hires the library director, sets policy, and works closely with the director in establishing and presenting the library’s budget to the district. If you would be interested in applying for the open position, send a letter to Search for Trustee - PCPLD, 1405 S Park Ave. Streamwood, IL 60107. In your letter state your background, education, work experience and why you would like to be on the board. Deadline is June 15, 2016.

Download our BookMyne app from either Google Play store or the Apple App store and start searching the catalog, placing holds, and requesting renewals right on your device! Our Library name in the app is Main Library PC or Sonya Crawshaw Branch PH. Our reference staff would love to help you set up your app. Just drop in or give us a call!
