Getting a Card
Who Can Get a Card
Anyone that resides in the Poplar Creek Library District may obtain a library card. The district includes most of Streamwood, Hanover Park, parts of Bartlett, and Schaumburg.

How to Get Your Card
Two forms of ID are required: a valid driver's license or state id and proof of current address such as a current bill, vehicle registration, check, or voter's registration. You must be 18 years of age or older for an adult card. If you are younger than 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of registration. (Legal guardians must show court proof of guardianship)
Anyone younger than 18 years of age are not allowed to check out DVDs, Videos and Video Games on their library cards.
Upon receiving your library card you will be issued a temporary PIN number. Please change this number to your own personal four digit number as soon as possible. The library does not retain that information and has no way of retrieving it.
Guest cards are for Internet use only and are only given with proper ID.
