Crafty teen group for teens ages 11-17 who are interested in arts, crafts, and being creative.  We meet in the Teen Department from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on the following Mondays: October 2nd, and November 6th.  In October will be creating your own string “voodoo doll,” and November 6th will be magazine bowls. Registration is required.

Book Talking Teens will be on Wednesdays from 4-5 pm on the following days: September 20th, October 18th, and November 15th in the Teen Department.  Teens can talk about the book we are set to discuss or talk about whatever book they have on their minds at this open discussion group.  Snacks will be available.  September Carve The Mark by Veronica Roth, October Wonder by R. J. Palacio, and November Turtles All the Way Down by John Green.  

Digital Music 101 will be on Monday September 18th from 4-6 pm in Teen Department study room Z.  Learn how to make digital music of any genre from Video Game/Film composer, Andrew Capone! Whether you're actively working on tracks or have only ever dreamed of making music, this class is for you! This course will help you take your music to the next level regardless of what instrument you play and what software you may already use. All skill levels are welcome!  Registration is required as there is a limit of seven participants.  After the first hour there will be an open session for anyone to ask questions. 

Life skills letter writing will be on Tuesday September 19th from 6-7:30 pm in the Teen Space.  Get a Pen Pal the safe way. Learn to write letters and make a friend in California, New Jersey or Georgia.  Registration is required.

DIY lipstick on Monday September 25th from 5-7 pm in the Teen Space.  Creating your own lipstick with using coconut oil and crayons! Registration is required.

FAFSA completion Workshop (with ISACorp) will be on Tuesday October 3rd from 6-8 pm in the Teen Space.  Need help filling out the FAFSA online?  As someone who understands all about it at this program.  Bring your laptop, your taxes, and a parent to help answer the really hard questions.  Registration is required. 

Make your own creative folders on Monday October 9th from 3-5 pm in the Teen Space.  Bring in pictures and magazine pages you want to use in your one of a kind folder using recycled materials.  Registration is required. 

Make your own sugar skulls for the Day of the Dead on Tuesday October 24th from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Teen Space.  Registration is required. 

Learn how to make your own vinyl stickers out of any possible designs using the Cricut on Monday October 30th from 5-7 pm in the Teen Space.  Registration is required.   

Creative Writing for Teens 101 will take place on Tuesday November 7th from 5-7 pm in the Teen Space.  Get your creative juices flowing for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).  Registration is required. 

Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament will be taking place on Saturday November 18th from 10 am to 3 pm in Meeting Rooms 2 and 3.  Bring your decks, tournament rules apply. Deck checks will start at 10am, tournament will start at 10:30. Prizes for the top two winners.

ESCAPE! Bring your friends and solve the clues to uncover the hidden treasure on Wednesday November 22nd from 1-4 pm in the Teen Space.  Register by calling or stopping by the Teen Department service desk. 

DIY own sock gloves on Monday November 27th from 5-7 pm in the Teen Space.  Create fun gloves out of tube socks! Registration is required!
